Our Pets
In January 2004, we adopted Alice. She was 1 year old when we got her, and is a mastiff/staffordshire terrier mix (I've heard this described as American Mastiff). She's into Kongs and anything else chewable. This photo was taken of her at home, and developed and processed in my dark room.
Ralf was a very happy-go-lucky mutt who never forgot that we rescued him from the pound. He lived to be 12 years old, we had him in our lives for 10 years to the day. We really miss him.
In May of 2006 we adopted 2 male kittens from Sangamon County Animal Control. They were about 8 weeks old when we got them, and were dumped in town near a busy intersection. There were 4 kittens found from their litter, and these were the last 2, so we decided to take them both. We named them Kenny and Vic, after Carl's favorite tv show: MXC (on SpikeTV). They're true to the characters, and definitely have livened up our household a bit!

I'm really sad to report that at 6:40am on April 25th, 2006, our darling Lucy passed away. She was a 13 year old American Longhair domestic cat. I got her from a friend of mine for Christmas in 1994, and she was truly a spoiled kitty. She was a real blast to have around, though, and we all miss her terribly. Here's a picture of her that was taken at my parents' house. We miss you Lucybell!
