Well, I hate to admit it, but I'm missing the fleece already. My studio just seems a little empty without all of those bright and wild fleece solids and prints everywhere. I'm starting to wonder if I should pick up some more yardage at Joanns' Black Friday sale and crank out a few more sets. I never thought I'd miss it once I was done. Maybe I should get out the scraps and play a little bit. Wonder what I could make from them?
Anyway, it's been a busy week for me. Helping Hands opportunities are really coming in quickly now, but I think we've got everything covered pretty well, thanks be to God for answering those prayers!
Still checking gottadeal.com for more ads. So far I'm not terribly impressed, but it's still early, and the big ads aren't out yet. The Target ad came out today, but they don't really do the doorbuster thing. Right now I'm more interested in the Meijer ad, and of course the big electronics stores. I think my Mom has decided that she would like XM radio for Christmas, so I'll be on the lookout for a good deal somewhere. Everyone keeps asking me what I want, and the only thing I can think of is DDR for my Wii. There are tons of things I'd like to have, but not with that burning "gotta have it or else" feeling, and I really won't be disappointed if none of them show up at my house. Maybe I'm grown up now? ;)
Speaking of grown up, I'm still working on my mom's bday present. I'm so afraid I'll let something slip! It is so totally NOT what she thinks it is!! shhhhh :)
Well, I need to get going on a couple of quilts. I finally decided what to do with the batiked purple and green quilt that I did for the quilt shop's buck a block last year. It's really cute, but not necessarily my style, I just wanted to play with batiks. The blocks are all done, but I didn't put them together because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Now it's going to be a lap quilt for one of the Milford kids, I think one of the teenage girls will grab it. I can't wait to show them! It's so girly and cool, I hope they really like it! I figured that someday the perfect person would come along for that quilt. Isn't that neat? God is so awesome!
Headed to see Fred Claus this weekend, I hope. Have a good one!
