This is one of the block of the month quilts I did from Calico Heart Quilt Shop. The blocks were collected from July 2005-2006, and I am finishing up the setting in August. This project required the use of Thangles, which most of you know are one of the banes to my existence, but I managed to get along okay with them. I have another BOTM, it's done in batiks, but I haven't selected the setting materials for it yet. I'm thinking about putting it on the backburner while I work on another project (the black quilt). Anyway, this Christmas quilt is going to be given to my mother when it's finished. The colors in the photos aren't exactly correct, the greens are a bit more muted than they show here. The pattern doesn't call for a border, but I'm considering adding a 2" in the setting green fabric. I hope to have the top completely assembled by the first of September, but we all know how that goes...
Here is the top half-assembled. The blocks ended up being 12.5" square.
<-- These colors are closer to the actual ones in the fabric.
